The needles that started it all.
Handcrafted in our Yorkshire workshop, our Original 25mm Knitting Needles were created over 20 years ago when the tools we needed simply didn’t exist. Smooth, strong and made to last, they are designed for jumbo yarns or for bringing several strands of yarn together to create something completely your own.
Why We Made Them
Over 20 years ago, I had cupboards full of yarn and loved bringing several strands together to create bold, wonderfully textured knitting. The problem was that I couldn’t find needles large enough to work with them.
So my dad made them.
Together, we developed our first oversized wooden knitting needles in his Yorkshire workshop, testing and refining them until they felt smooth in the hands and allowed even the thickest yarns to move with ease.
Those first needles became the Juey Originals and marked the beginning of everything we make today.

in Two Lengths
Original 60cm Needles
Our extra-long 60cm needles are the true Juey Originals. Their generous length gives you plenty of stitch room for blankets, throws and larger jumbo projects.
Shorter 30cm Needles
The same impressive 25mm size in a shorter, easier-to-handle length. Particularly suited to children, beginners and smaller projects where less stitches are required.
Made by Hand. Finished to Last.
Every pair of Juey Originals is handcrafted and individually finished in our Yorkshire workshop.
Each pair must feel smooth in the hands and allow even the thickest yarns to move freely. They are treated with the secret serum my dad created, giving the wood its distinctive smooth finish. With use, the natural oils from your hands help the needles become smoother still.
Nothing leaves the Juey workshop unless it meets the same high standards my dad insisted upon from the very beginning.
