Let's Go!

And what better way to launch our series than with a focus on a trend that’s as warm as it is stylish? That’s right – we're diving into the cosy world of chunky knitting (Juey Jumbo’s favourite). So, let’s unravel why this trend is the winter obsession you didn't know you needed!

Why Chunky Knitting is the Winter Trend You'll Absolutely Love

Hey there, knitting enthusiasts! As we feel the crisp chill of winter on the horizon, what better way to keep warm than by diving into the world of chunky knitting? Now, before you envision yourself getting lost in a mountain of never-ending yarn, let me tell you why chunky knitting might just become your new winter obsession.

1. Quick and Rewarding Projects

Got an evening to spare? That's all you need! The beauty of our high-quality wooden XL needles, paired with chunky yarn, is that your knitting progresses at lightning speed. You’ll have a gorgeous new scarf or blanket before you even finish that season of your favourite show.

2. Those Bold Textures, Though!

Chunky knits stand out. Those pronounced stitches not only highlight the beauty of the yarn but also your handiwork. It’s a win-win!

3. Feeling Toasty

Need I say more about the warm and snug feeling of a chunky-knit blanket during a frosty evening? Or wrapping a chunky scarf around you on a nippy morning?

4. Perfect for Knitting Newbies

If you're just getting into the swing of knitting, chunky yarns and our XL needles are your best friends. Each stitch is more visible, making it a breeze to learn and practise.

5. Gentle on the Hands

Speaking of our wooden needles, they're not just aesthetically pleasing but also ergonomic. They're especially gentle on the hands, ensuring hours of comfortable knitting.

6. Get the Kids Involved

Our slightly shorter chunky needles are ideal for the younger knitting enthusiasts in your family. What a wonderful way to introduce them to the craft!

7. Make a Statement

Whether it's a chic chunky-knit hat or a stylish sweater, these knits are conversation starters. You're bound to get compliments and "Where did you get that?" at every turn.

8. Fewer Ends, Fewer Worries

As we tie yarns together there are no ends to worry about. Less to do at the end. Great stuff!

9. Cost Effective

When you are knitting with chunky yarn it goes so much further and knits up so much faster. Considering how quickly you can churn out masterpieces, chunky knitting can be quite cost-effective (of course, if you chose the ‘posh’ yarns you can also expect these to go a lot further). Whether you're gifting or selling, it's value for money and time.

Your next project!

Now, thinking about winter projects? Imagine snuggling under a jumbo-knit blanket with a cuppa, or wrapping up in a chunky cardigan. And don’t forget those adorable chunky-knit mittens and hats! The possibilities are endless.

Intrigued? Dive into the world of chunky knitting with our premium jumbo wooden needles. They're a joy to hold, and the results? Simply stunning.

Stay warm, stay stylish, and most importantly, stay inspired this winter!

Can you crochet the knitted projects instead of knitting them cos I'm a crocheter not a knitter

Hello there, thank you for your recent query. That's a great question too and very timely as we are looking for crocheters who would be interested in testing 'converted' knitting patterns. We wanted to try converting some of our existing patterns so all our lovely crocheters would have lots of new projects. The stitches will never be the same as they are two different styles of crafting but we hope we can create something that compliments. Would you be interested in getting involved (or for that matter any of our customers reading this)? We'd love to hear from you.

If you are interested please have a look at our existing pattern selection, pick one and let us know thanks.
